WHEN YOU TAP DELIVER, THE GIANT MOVES
Updated: Jun 24
How I turned logistics into a myth.

THE CHALLENGE
In Southeast Asia, delivery has become an expectation.
Packages arrive.
Orders are fulfilled.
Promises are kept.
The problem is that reliability often becomes invisible.
The better the service performs, the less people notice the effort behind it.
For Lazada, the challenge was not to prove delivery.
It was to make people appreciate it.
THE INSIGHT
Customers don’t see the journey.
They only see the arrival.
What appears to be a simple delivery often requires riders to navigate flooded roads, remote villages, mountain paths, islands, and locations that barely exist on a map.
The package arrives.
The effort disappears.
The opportunity was to make that effort visible.

THE IDEA
Turn every Lazada rider into a giant.
Not a superhero.
Not a machine.
A symbol of extraordinary care.
If delivery riders already overcome obstacles that feel impossible, why not visualize them as larger than life?
The giant became a metaphor for the commitment required to reach customers wherever they are.

THE EXECUTION
The campaign transformed everyday deliveries into epic moments.
A giant rider crossing rice fields to reach a farmer.
A giant hand delivering a package to a rooftop diner.
A giant figure navigating mountains, coastlines, storms, and isolated communities.
Each execution elevated a familiar transaction into a story of effort, dedication, and service.
The scale was fictional.
The commitment was real.

THE STRATEGY
Most delivery advertising focuses on speed.
This campaign focused on devotion.
Instead of highlighting technology, tracking systems, or operational efficiency, the work celebrated the people behind the service.
The objective was to transform delivery from a functional benefit into an emotional experience.
Not a package arriving.
A promise being kept.

THE MEDIA
The campaign was designed to dominate public spaces.
Large-format billboards and building wraps extended beyond traditional boundaries, allowing the giant riders to physically break out of their frames and into the skyline.
The media became part of the storytelling.
The larger the rider appeared, the larger the act of care felt.

THE OUTCOME
The campaign generated a 26% increase in emotional brand recall across outdoor test markets and a 42% increase in earned media conversations.
More importantly, it changed how people viewed the service behind the platform.
Delivery was no longer perceived as an automated process.
It became a human effort worth recognizing.
One customer summarized it perfectly:
“I always wondered how they manage to find me. Now I get it. They move like giants.”

LOOKING BACK
The strongest brands don’t just deliver products.
They deliver meaning.
This campaign wasn’t about making riders bigger.
It was about making their effort impossible to overlook.
Because when customers tap “Deliver,” they aren’t simply placing an order.
They’re asking someone, somewhere, to move the impossible.
And every day, Lazada does.
